This weekend Zoey had her first volunteer opportunity through her dance company (where she takes ballet/pointe classes). I had inquired about volunteer opportunities for her at the end of the last dance season since we knew we were going to be homeschooling in the near future and was happy when her teacher said that it was a great idea. Today she got to dress up as a fairy and help with crafts, dances, games and more for a fairy themed birthday party full of adorable (and super busy!) two year olds. So fun and it was so good for her to take on this kind of role.
We had a pretty crazy weekend here. Zoey was at a sleepover Friday night with a friend and I worked Saturday morning at the library and then we all had to quick get ready to attend a wedding of a friend. Then Sunday (today) was Zoey's day to volunteer for three hours at her dance studio. I'm looking forward to our (hopefully) relaxed day of school tomorrow!
